0 Confirmation upon moving in

The following are the main procedures required for moving.
Let’s start with what we can do and complete it as soon as possible.

14 Days before moving in

□ Relocation request via phone call.

3 Days before moving in

□ Notification of moving date.
□ Procedures for moving (including electricity, gas, water and NHK)

Moving in day

□ Notification of moving out
□ Cancellation of personal stamp registration
□ Automatic withdrawal of utility bills from your bank account (by the day before you move)
□ Opening of gas valve (must be witnessed on the day)

14 Days after moving in

□ Fill out and send the property inspection form.
□ Notification of moving in (within 14 days of moving in)
□ Personal stamp Registration (Any time)
□ Notification of Change of Head of Household (within 14 days after change of head of household)
□ Notification of change of domicile (when you change your domicile)

★ All procedures have to be completed before and after the move
□ Request a moving company or arrange for a car to load your belongings
□ Replacement of fire insurance (household goods, etc.)
□ Contact your internet provider
□ Change of address for bank account

★ All procedures better to be completed as soon as possible
□ Request for change of address and forwarding service at the post office
□ Change of address for driver’s license
□ Change of car registration and issue of garage certificate
□ Registration of your dog (if you have a pet)

Don’t forget to complete the necessary procedures needed for your daily life, such as changing your address for social insurance in addition to the information listed above.
